My Biography
Ece Koç is a graduate of the University of Istanbul, where she studied economics. She is also one of the presenters of the “Building Bridges” program, which hosts many experts on the Middle East, writers, religious leaders and academics, as well as a guest columnist and blogger whose writings have appeared in The Times of Israel, and she's been a guest on other radio and TV programs. Additionally, she's also an International Affairs coordinator, and has organized and attended major interfaith conferences between the three Abrahamic religions as well as attend international events in 2012 in her official capacity such as the Second Istanbul World Political Forum, the 21st Congress of the Union of Islamic Communities, The Second International Conference on Social Thought in the Middle East and North Africa, Partners of Forum of the Alliance of Civilizations, The Second Somali Conference, The Third Istanbul Finance Summit, The First International Balkan Conference, the Istanbul World Forum, Science for Peace, the International Congress on Neighbourhoods: From War to Eternal Peace on the 100th Anniversary of the Balkan Wars; Good Neighborhood Relations in the Balkans.
I am one of the hosts of the Building Bridges TV program, a weekly show done in cooperation with the independent network WTP Network of the United States. I also participate in the radio shows of Building Bridges San Francisco as a co-host. I am also a peace and interfaith advocate. I serve as an editor and coordinator in A9TV, coordinating the talk programs and inviting guests for the shows. For the Building Bridges TV programs, we are broadcasting on A9 TV from Istanbul. Through our programs, we wish to form a bridge between East and West and spread a message of peace and love and create unity among people regardless of their race or religion and we also endeavor to dispel the misunderstandings some people have in the West about Islam.
We host prominent guests from all around the world through video conference for the Building Bridges TV Program. Joseph Grieboski, Chairman of Just Consulting, Middle East analyst Majid Rafizadeh, Professor John Esposito, Professor Philip Jenkins, David Aaron, a Senior Fellow at the Rand Corperation and the famous Golden State Band, have been some of our previous guests on Building Bridges, to name just a few. Some of the guests of my radio shows include journalists such as Robert Miranda, Hani Hazamei, Tom Krattenmaker, Jonathan Power, politician Dr. Aaron Lerner. In addition to being a TV and radio host, I am a blogger in the Times of Israel and I am involved in research on political issues, especially on issues concerning the Middle East region. I am also the International Affairs coordinator, and I also organize and attend major interfaith conferences between the three Abrahamic religions as well as attend international events in 2012 in my official capacity such as the Second Istanbul World Political Forum, the 21st Congress of the Union of Islamic Communities, The Second International Conference on Social Thought in the Middle East and North Africa, Partners of Forum of the Alliance of civilizations.
