Ihsan Atasoy

Ihsan Atasoy was born in 1949 in a town called Of in the city of Trabzon. In the period of 1969-1970 he graduated from a high school in Istanbul which prepared imams for Turkey.

In 1973-74 he graduated from the Higher Islamic Institute in Istanbul. From 1978 onwards he started working for Yeni Asya newspaper. He continued as a columnist for a number of years. However he retired as a manager at Yeni Nesil Newspaper.

He is married to writer Gulay Atasoy and is a father of three children. He is also known to be the famous reciter of the Jawshan, which has sold/downloaded thousands around the world.
