The Last Word

By Ali Unal

Both Judaism and Christianity and their books, Torah and Bible, were spoiled and corrupted years after the Prophets Moses and Jesus. And, the reason why Moses and Jesus had been sent required that the Seal of the Prophets, that is, Mohammed (p.b.u.h.) would be sent. That no Muslims have been converted into Christianity and Judaism while masses of Chistians and Jews for centuries have been converted into Islam, as witnessed on a large scale today, shows that Islam is the only Divine Religion which can and does meet the needs and wants of the centruy. While Torah and Bible were changed and couldn’t be kept in their originality, the Quran was written down in the lifetime of Hadrat Mohammed (p.b.u.h.), memorized by hundreds of his companions and has come down to our century without a letter being changed. Even purposeful orientalists who have strictly scrutinized into the Islamic history have not been able to make a claim regarding this point.

The fundaments of Islam are to believe in

1) the Unity, that is, the oneness of Allah,

2) the Last Day,

3) the Prophethood and all the prophets from Adam to Muhammad including Abraham, Moses and Jesus (p.b.u.t.), so denying one of them is disbelief,

4) the Divine scriptures, including Torah, Psalms, Gospel and the Quran, with the exception that the first three were corrupted and it is only the Quran that must be obeyed and aceepted as a guide,

5) God’s angels, and,

6) the Divine destiny, not excluding free will of man.

Islam’s fundaments and other principles are quite clear and reasonable. Its bosom is open to everyone who wants to attain to true bliss in both this world and the Other. And, it is Islam only which brings felicity to mankind and will be able to meet the wants of the century, solving modern problems. Its history together with that of its excellent Prophet has been elaborately recorded in thousands of books, and its Holy Book is there for everyone in its originality and freshness.
